Jill Seeley of Beacon lost her beloved Ajax when someone stole him out of her SUV while she was dining at the Golden Corral in Poughkeepsie.
Heartbroken she took to the internet to get the word out and offered a $3,000 reward for his return
All of the attention seemed to work, or maybe it's just a Christmas miracle because Seeley said she found her black shepherd tied to a car in her driveway on Friday.
"AJAX IS HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!," she exclaimed on Facebook. "I do not know who or why or when. I have no other information, I am just incredibly grateful. MY BOY IS HOME!!!!!"
After hugging her dog, Seeley took the time to thanks the hundreds or even thousands of people who shared her story online.
"I would like to take a moment to thank EVERYONE who called, texted, messaged, hung posters, offered to help and SHARED my plea on social media," she said. "I truly believe that without you and your amazing positivity, Ajax would never have been returned to me."
